LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL.

Your recovery routine just got heavier.

Body tempering is a recovery technique that uses weighted rollers to apply controlled pressure to muscles and soft tissue. It's a different approach to recovery designed to complement your movement routine and help you feel more prepared to move.
Whether you're lifting heavy, chasing kids, running miles, or just trying to feel less stiff after sitting all day, your body deserves a little maintenance.
Recover with intention. Keep doing your thing.

YOU PUT IN THE WORK. NOW GIVE YOUR BODY SOME ATTENTION.

Your workouts challenge you. Your job keeps you moving- or sitting in one position for eight hours. Life adds its own demands.

And somewhere in the middle of it all, recovery tends to get pushed to the bottom of the list.

Body tempering is one way to make recovery more intentional. Using weighted rollers, we apply controlled pressure to targeted areas of the body as part of a hands-on session tailored to your needs and comfort level.

Because taking care of your body isn't extra credit. It's part of the process.

WHY BODY TEMPERING?

RELEASE MUSCLE TENSION

TARGET STUBBORN KNOTS

SUPPORT LOCAL CIRCULATION

EASE THAT BEAT-UP FEELING

Targeted, weighted pressure works into tight, overworked muscles to help ease feelings of tension and restriction.

Focused pressure targets areas that feel knotted, dense, or persistently tight to help you feel more comfortable.

Mechanical pressure may influence local blood flow and tissue fluid movement, supporting the body's normal physiological processes.

Give overworked muscle groups focused attention after demanding activity and help your body feel more comfortable following a session.

Recovery isn't one-size-fits-all. Body tempering can be a useful addition to your routine when you want to give specific muscle groups some focused attention.

SO, WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS?

1. We talk.

Every session starts with a conversation about how you're feeling, what you've been doing, and what areas you'd like us to focus on. Your comfort, goals, and relevant health history matter.

2. We temper.

Using weighted rollers, your practitioner applies controlled pressure to selected muscle groups. Pressure and positioning are adjusted to your comfort level throughout the session.

3. We check in.

We communicate throughout the session and adjust as needed. This isn't about pushing through pain or proving how much pressure you can handle.

4. You get back to moving.

We wrap up with recommendations for what to do next, which may include gentle movement, mobility work, or a return to your normal routine as appropriate.

The goal isn't to see how much you can tolerate. It's to give your body the attention it needs.

You don't have to be a competitive athlete to benefit from being intentional about recovery.

RECOVERY ISN'T A REWARD FOR WORKING HARD ENOUGH.

It's part of taking care of yourself.

At Good Temper, we believe movement is medicine—and that training for longevity means paying attention to more than reps, miles, and how much weight you can lift.

Sometimes you need to challenge yourself. Sometimes you need to slow down. And sometimes you need to stop treating recovery like something you'll get around to later.

Body tempering is one piece of that bigger picture: a way to be intentional about how you care for your body, alongside movement, strength, rest, and recovery habits that fit your life.

Work out. Not wear out.
